2 people shot dead by unknown assailant on Art Museum Dr. – Action News Jax

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – JSO responded to an early Sunday morning shooting on the 1600 block of the Art Museum Dr.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m.

While at the scene, the JSO dispatcher was informed that the adult male victims had checked into a local hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The ages of the victims and the number of gunshot wounds they each suffered are currently unknown.

This is early in the investigation, but it appears an unknown person approached the victims and there was an argument which led to the suspect shooting the victims. The suspect is described as an adult black male.

Asked about the potential threat to the community, JSO said he believed it was an isolated incident.
