AAPI Montclair and Montclair Art Museum to celebrate the Lunar New Year

AAPI Montclair and the Montclair Art Museum will host AAPI Montclair’s first outdoor Lunar New Year celebration at the Montclair Art Museum on Saturday, February 12 from noon to 3 p.m.
Bad weather date is February 26th.
AAPI Montclair’s first-ever Lunar New Year celebration will feature family-friendly educational, cultural and social activities to teach community members about Lunar New Year and provide a chance to celebrate and learn together, according to a statement from Montclair Art Museum press.
The many facets of Lunar New Year will be reflected in cultural performances, arts and crafts activities, and food and merchandise for purchase, all outside on the grounds of the Montclair Art Museum.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Kaija Jung Anderson Memorial Scholarship, which honors the life of a Montclair sophomore girl by supporting senior graduates who exemplify her spirit of compassion, curiosity and courage.
Admission is free for members of the Montclair Art Museum. General admission is $5 for non-members, with fee waivers available. To RSVP, donate or learn more, visit aapimontclair.org.
