New York Museum of Art employee who stabbed suspect arrested in Philadelphia

A man suspected of stabbing two employees of the New York City Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) on Saturday has been arrested in Philadelphia, police have confirmed.
Gary Cabana, 60, was arrested at Philadelphia’s Greyhound Bus Terminal after setting fire to his hotel room and Philadelphia police found him asleep on a park bench, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Cabana told a local outlet during his arrest that the Philadelphia police were “the best cops in America.”
The suspect was seen on video in New York jumping over reception and stabbing two MOMA employees after being denied entry to the museum.
His membership was revoked due to past incidents of disorderly conduct in the museum.
The two 24-year-old museum workers, a man and a woman, were stabbed multiple times and are currently in stable condition, the Inquirer reports.
On Saturday, the New York Police Department released an image of Cabana, asking people to look for him and tip their department if he is spotted.

According to Fox 29, Philadelphia police say they know Cabana may be suffering from mental health issues and it’s unclear why he traveled from New York to Philadelphia.
Steve Keeley, a Fox 29 reporter, shared a video of Cabana’s arrest where he said, while in custody in the back of a police cruiser, “[The Philadelphia police] just made America safer. I am public enemy number one.”
