“Think in Color” Knack Mutant Art Sculpture 3D Tool

If you’ve ever wanted to map your thoughts in color, you’re in luck. “Think in Color” is an interesting new tool from the Belgian news magazine, Thingand design agency mutantwhich creates a digital sculpture based on your answers to a list of challenging questions.

The list goes from the likelihood of you blocking someone you don’t vibe with on social media, whether you have friends who hold opposing political views, the level of empathy you show on a daily basis, to more philosophical questions. With each answer, the sculptural stain begins to take on new colors and shapes based on the percentage you agree or disagree with the corresponding question.

More than just a dynamic time-wasting quiz, Knack provides a detailed summary of each trait at the end of the assessment. Additionally, users will be able to upload a JPEG or GIF of the final sculpt, which if you’re anything like me will likely look like the grand canyon in gumball form.

According to a statement by Knack editor Bert Bultinck, the 3D tool was designed to present a “literal challenge to our readers to question their own way of thinking”. Produced in collaboration with phycologists from the University of Brussels (VUB), the questionnaire is modeled on the BFI-2 and FIT-60 tests and explores the empathy, open-mindedness, flexibility and intellectual curiosity of ‘a person.
